Stock Horse Stud

Berkley Park Australian Stock horses has been breeding around 2 foals each year for the last decade. The foundation mares were both bred in western Queensland out of highly performing campdraft mares by well known quarterhorse and thoroughbred stallions. The stud has land in Toowoomba where most of the training occurs, and also at Mossman Creek, Liston NSW where we run 110 angus cows, so the horses start cattle work at a young age. They are 'broken in' at 2-3 yo by Paul Moody Invergarry Allora for 3-4 weeks, schooled in Toowomba for another month , given a spell at Mossman Ck for 1-3 months then come back to Toowoomba and are carted to 6-8 polocrosse carnivals in the next 6 months where they are used mostly as umpires horses, and play 1 or 2 low pressure carnivals. The following year they are ready to play polocrosse full time.

BP Texas Bay colt DOB 21/9/12

BP Seattle Chestnut mare DOB 30/11/07

Each year we have 1 or 2 horses for sale that are suitable for polocrosse, campdrafting, pony club (some are for beginners), pleasure, trial riding, station work and futurities. We aim to provide quiet well trained horses that can easily be handled and ridden by inexperienced to expert horsemen and horsewomen.
